Catriona's solo harp cd. This is a moment in Catriona's company, a cd of her harp tunes representing the root of her style with her usual flights of fancy to reveal some of her fascinations with harp. It's a solo project, recorded by Catriona in her own studio with many of the tunes written for friends and musicians who have inspired her and brought a musical awakening.
Catriona has been in the studio recording in Philly with friend and ace Irish singer Cliona Cassidy. Since meeting at the RNCM as students they have been enjoying writing songs together. In 2012 they decided it was time for a cd. They are delighted to say that Seamus Egan is producer for the studio album and release is planned for late 2013.
Catriona McKay & Chris Stout - are busy writing new music for three recording projects. One is a cd of their new concerto Seavaigers, written for them and the Scottsh Ensemble by composer Sally Beamish. To For this cd they are creating a suite written by Catriona and Chris inspired by North Sea navigation. They are making music for a film project by Scottish film maker Andy Crabb. Also - Catriona & Chris are developing their new duo cd.
Catriona & Olov make harp shapes once again! Having had a fun few years playing the tunes from their recording 'Foogy', Catriona & Olov have matched up a fun set of Scottish and Swedish to make a new recording called 'The Auld Harp'.
